THE BOOK ON IT SECURITY

The Essential Guide for Everyone

About Paul Rosenthal

Award-Winning Author & IT Expert

With over 30 years of hands-on experience in IT support and education, Paul Rosenthal is on a mission to make digital security accessible, practical, and completely understandable for everyone.

Paul Rosenthal has been working in the field of IT support and security for more than three decades. Throughout his career, he has assisted countless individual users, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as large organizations in solving technical challenges and protecting their information systems. His expertise ranges from everyday user support to complex infrastructure and security projects.

He is particularly recognized for his teaching experience: Paul has taught computer science fundamentals to Croatian war veterans with disabilities, as well as to numerous students in various companies and institutions.

In addition to education, he has participated in the development of online portals for banks, healthcare, educational institutions, and enterprises—always combining technical knowledge with the practical needs of users. He is the founder of Rosenthal d.o.o., owner of the internet.hr domain, and has also served as a permanent court expert in computer science.

Through his daily work, Paul observed that many users lack even the most basic understanding of IT security principles. This realization inspired him to write The Book on IT Security—an attempt to approach security in a different way, using clear language and real-life examples. His mission is to empower people: to ensure they are not helpless in front of technology, but instead gain confidence and the essential knowledge required to protect themselves and their data.

AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR

The Book on IT Security is the result of decades of hands-on experience, but also of Paul’s personal passion for education and knowledge sharing. It is written with the belief that security should not remain the privilege of experts, but accessible, practical knowledge for everyone who lives and works in the digital world.

“Prevention is always safer and more cost-effective than fixing problems after they occur.”
